BlueZoo Masterclass Project - 2022

In this project, I worked closely with representatives from animation company BlueZoo, working with Daniel Cripps and Will Lloyd-Cook, who issued a task often given to junior animators in the industry, creating a 20 second comedic short with a provided rig.

The workflow featured regular feedback sessions with my peers, and check-ins from BlueZoo, in which many ideas were put forwards, and substituted for better ideas that more supported the brief, and general timing of the piece. Here, we can see examples of an animatic that put much more prominence on the character acting of the bird.

The Project overall provided a professional-level insight into how a beginner - level industry animation employment might function, featuring dailies, general feedback sessions, and an introduction to the industry workflow in Maya, utilising animatics, live-action reference and advanced Maya techniques to create an entertaining piece of animation.
